Connected is a new album and concert of a journey into Jewish spiritual music, by renowned Israeli vocalist, Gitit Shoval. Joining Gitit are her husband, Ron Druyan, and their daughter, Tutti Druyan. Connected is the debut collaboration album of this family trio. After a highly successful Kickstarter campaign, Gitit, Ron, and Tutti, are now in the midst of recording
the music and rehearsing the concert.
Gitit Shoval is one of Israel’s singing treasures. She was catapulted into overnight success at the age of 13, singing in Israel's Pre-Eurovision contest. Shoval has 6 solo albums and an EP to her credit, including two tribute records to the great Mordechai Zeira and Naomi Shemer, as well as countless original works by Israel’s leading poets like Ehud Manor, David Avidan, Tzruya Lahav and many more. In addition, Shoval is the Hebrew voice of the iconic cartoon character of Smurfette, Barbie, and many more. Gitit’s love for spiritual music came from her work as a Cantorial singer, which she began in 2015.
Ron Druyan Graduate of the Berklee College of Music with summa cum laude honors in the Jazz Composition and Arranging class of 1984. He worked with Israeli a-listers such as Chava Alberstein, Nurit Galron among many others. In 1995, Ron and Gitit founded Tomitoot productions LTD, one of Israel's leading voice-over and dubbing companies. The Smurfs, Bob the Builder, Dragon Tales, Barbie made for DVD movies, and Thomas the Tank Engine, are just a few of Tomitoot’s iconic voice-over productions. Ron is the Executive and Musical Producer of Connected.
Tutti Druyan began dubbing for cartoons at the early age of 3. By the age of 9, she performed in musicals and plays across Israel. Since her arrival to the United States, Tutti sang the American and Israeli National Anthems in places such as Boston City Hall Plaza as well as The Massachusetts State House. Druyan performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival as the main character in the musical "Ami and Tami". Tutti’s debut single, Call Me Baby, reached the Mediabase Activator Chart and the Billboard Top 40 Indicator Chart.
